Malis

Malis

The Original Hellhound. Spent most of her 600ish years fighting along side various demons in a unit known as the Malis Unit. They went across the Hells to hunt down anyone that displeased their Master.

After breaking free of those chains she escaped to the mortal realm to find an old friend, Cassandra Sinclair. Finding her slumming around a town like Evermire, Malis decided she liked the easy prey she could find here and has fashioned herself a Bounty Hunter.

Now she has gathered a unit of her own named the Hellhound Hunters Club. Their goal now is to Hunt the things that go bump in the night.

She can usually be found torturing some poor soul out in the woods outside Evermire or knocking back drinks in the tavern.

Cass

Cass

Formerly a member of the Winter Court of the fae, Cassandra Sinclair's heritage has given her the opportunity to hunt across several realms.

With the initial backing of a sponsor, she has spent years running and managing teams of hunters in the mortal realm as well as her own personal pursuits in the field.

She can be contacted for business at her house in Evermire, Thorn Rose Stables, or her estate in Helibrook.

Matthias

Matthias

Matthias hails from Avarin, where he once bore the title of witch hunter - a role he no longer claims. Time and hard experience have tempered his view of the world, and he now names himself simply a hunter of monsters, drawing a careful line between the two.

As one of the founding members of the Hellhound Hunters Club, Matthias has helped shape both its purpose and its practices. While he is no stranger to the dangers of the field, his true strength lies in study and understanding. He is a driving force behind the Club's growing bestiary, committing his efforts to the careful documentation of creatures, their habits, and the means by which they may be confronted - or avoided.

Measured in word and manner, Matthias is known to observe before he acts, and to question before he condemns. He holds that knowledge is the surest weapon a hunter can carry, and that a poorly understood foe is more dangerous than any claw or fang.

Those who seek him out will find a patient teacher, if a reserved one, and a man who believes that the Hunt is best served not by zeal, but by clarity.

Norus

Norus

Formerly of the Takek Tribe, a hardy nomadic people of lizardfolk in the Thera Barrens, Norus was raised in a land where only the relentless endure. Among his kin, he learned to survive by fang and instinct - contending with wild beasts, scavenging what the wastes would yield, and proving his worth through action rather than word.

Exile cast him from that life, setting him upon a harsher path. In time, he came within reach of Evermire, where he fell in with a band of outlaws whose name he seldom acknowledges. There, he sharpened not only his blade, but his cunning - learning when to strike, when to vanish, and how to turn even the direst circumstances to his advantage.

At last, Norus made his way to the rough-edged town of Evermire. Though an outsider, he has since carved a place for himself through deed rather than reputation. He has aided the townsfolk in matters both violent and uncertain, and has proven a capable ally to Sterling Drake Services, whose respect he has earned through a combination of ferocity, quick thinking, and an unorthodox approach to problem-solving. In battle, Norus favors adaptability over form - using whatever tools, terrain, or tactics are at hand to seize the upper ground.

It was there that Matthias took note of him, seeing not only a survivor, but a hunter in the making. Recruited into the Hellhound Hunters Club, Norus has since turned his hard-won skills toward the Hunt, where his resilience and instincts serve the pack well.

At a glance, Norus may seem brash and reckless, but this is a surface reading. Beneath it lies a hunter shaped by hardship - tenacious, resourceful, and possessed of a keen, if unconventional, mind. It is these traits that have carried him this far, and which may yet carry him further still.

Ellah

Ellah

Ellah is nearly always preceded by her reputation these days. A decade ago, she was known as "The Half-Breed of Helibrook," a name she made for herself as a member of the notorious (and since-disbanded) thieves' guild known only as The Eye. After leaving their ranks, Ellah has done much in developing her own business network as founder and Guild Mistress of the Silver Shroud, a so-called "freelancer's union" based in Evermire. She often travels for work - meeting clients, acquiring goods, and making deliveries - and has traveled through Solarea, Verania, Rundisar, and U'Nafara. She also has experience traveling to various realms, including the Ways, Fae Wilds, and, most recently, the Hells.

Over the past few years, Ellah has become the apprentice of Cassandra Sinclair. What started as a contract made with the hope that Cass could teach Ellah the skills she needed to exact revenge on someone from her past, has since blossomed into a strong friendship. Cassandra has been training Ellah in horsemanship, hunting with hellhouds, mounted combat, and other relevant skills, which the younger demonkin is quick to absorb. Together they run Thorn Rose Stables, an equestrian complex about an hour outside of Helibrook. Ellah's confidence and subsequent audacity has only grown with each successful hunt, with Ellah recently earning her own Nightmare mount through a ritualized hunt in the Hells, overseen by Lord Astabor, father to Cass and Malis.

Ellah has had many experiences with strange and dangerous creatures since relocating to Evermire, though she hadn't started hunting them until more recently. Although she enjoys the challenge of taking down a beast, she is still far more likely to be found hunting down rare, expensive, or exotic items or the coin purse of an unsuspecting Solarean noble.

Ellah can usually be found around Evermire, Helibrook, or her cottage at Thorn Rose, often enjoying fine vintages of Dwarven whiskey, Infernal scotch, or Fae wine. Although she is known for her quick temper, ability to hold a grudge, and shady dealings, Ellah is always open to shooting the shit, as long as you're not a cop.
